Have you ever said… to someone, “You are using that Bible verse – Out of Context’?” To truly understand the Truth of the Bible, one must be Born Again, by the Holy Spirit of God. Before that and without the Holy Spirit… its verses seem… ‘Out of Context.’ The Spiritual and practical Truth of the Bible can be compared to a Tapestry. Beautiful on one side and woven with threads that seem to make no sense, on the back side.
*** (1Corinthians 2:10-to-14) But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.
(1Cor 2:11) For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man within him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
(1Cor 2:12) But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.
(1Cor 2:13) These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
(1Cor 2:14) But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
We spend the ‘early’… part of our lives learning. We start in kindergarten, elementary school and eventually finish high school. Some go on to higher learning with a degree in college or technical school. We approach our secular education, by applying our human intellect. When we become ‘Christian’… we use that same ‘intellectual’ approach to the Scriptures, the Bible. That is the wrong approach! In the above verses… “God reveals His Truth, by His Holy Spirit!” It is not rote memorization or intellectual learning.
*** (2Corinthians 4:6-7) For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
(2Cor 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the = excellence of the power = may be of God and ‘not’ of us;
*** (John 6:63) It is the Spirit that makes alive, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life.
The Bible is both… Spiritual Truth and the practical application of that Truth; in life lessons and in instruction. Many miss this “Truth”, because they look for ‘facts’ to validate their ‘Beliefs and Instruction’. They only see the Bible as an “Answer Book” to life’s questions and problems… instead of a “Practical book of - ‘Applicable’ - Life Principles”. These principles bring eternal life or eternal damnation… and eternal rewards or eternal losses.
*** (Matthew 4:4) But He [Jesus] answered and said, It is written, "Man shall ‘not’ live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
*** (Luke 4:4) And Jesus answered him [Satan], saying, It is written that "man shall ‘not’ live by bread alone, but by every Word of God."
*** (James 1:22) Keep on being Doers of the Word, and Not Merely Hearers who Deceive themselves.
Have you ever heard… someone say… “The Bible does ‘not’ say You Shall Not =_____?” [fill in the blank] That is a sure indication that they take the ‘intellectual approach’, to the Holy Word of God. They are not looking for… ‘Life Principles’… but treat the Bible; as an ‘answer’ book of right and wrong. When Christ Jesus said… “But by every Word of God”… He was validating the “Life Principles of the Bible!” The Bible is ‘more’ than our instruction book of right and wrongs… it is our Roadmap ‘of’ Life and ‘for’ Life… out of a heart; of the ‘Siamese Twins’ of… “Love and Obedience”.
*** (Romans 15:4) For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, so that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
*** (Isaiah 30:21) And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.
*** (Isaiah 28:9-10) Whom shall He teach knowledge? And whom shall He make to understand doctrine? Those weaned from the milk and drawn from the breasts.
(Isa 28:10) For precept must be on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little;
Once Again… it is the Holy Spirit that ties the threads of the “Tapestry of God’s Spiritual Truth” together for the Born Again believer. We only understand ‘Spiritual Truth’… when it is revealed to us… by the Holy Spirit. Right away someone will say… “I get Spiritual Truth”… from my Pastor or teaching at my Church. Yes you may ‘and/or’… you many not. Perhaps I may ask… is that God’s Truth written in your ‘heart’… or ‘only’ in your head?
*** (Psalms 119:11) I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
*** (John 14:26) But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
*** (John 16:13-14-15) However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.
(John 16:14) He will glorify Me, for He will receive of Mine and will announce it to you.
(John 16:15) All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and will announce it to you.
Once Again… “God’s Spiritual Truth”… is Learned & Lived… from the heart and the head. But if ‘First’… must be in your ‘Heart’. Yes it comes through the head… but it is ‘Truly Known’… in the Heart. That is why being… “Born Again [from above]”… is the change of the Heart. Those Pharisees, Scribes, Sadducees and Lawyers of the Law of Jesus’ day… had such a problem with Him. It was in their heads… “Only!”
*** (Jeremiah 29:13) And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
*** (Romans 6:17-18) But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
(Rom 6:18) Then being made free from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness.
Some that attend… formal Bible instruction, at a Bible College or Seminary; have a certain ‘I know the Truth’ attitude. Their secular thinking about spiritual matters; is mostly one of the ‘head’ and not of the heart. I would rather know five spiritual Truths and obey them… than to know five thousand and falsely feel superior. What about you; “What attitude do you have… about God’s Truth… in His Holy Word, “The Bible?” It is that simple obedience to revealed Truth… which leads us to ‘more’ of Gods’ Truth. These are what ‘Christ Jesus’ spoke about… “True Riches!”
*** (Luke 6:46) "Why do you keep calling Me [Jesus] = 'Lord, = Lord,' = but don't do what I tell you?
*** (Luke 16:10-11-12) He who is faithful in the least = is also faithful in much. = And he who is unjust in the least = is also unjust in much.
(Luke 16:11) Therefore if you = have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, = who will entrust the true riches to you?
(Luke 16:12) And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, = who shall give you that which is your own?
“Salvation in Christ” is by God’s Grace Alone… it is the Gift of God; but so is Faith! Nothing you can do… keeping the Law, Good Works, Ministry or any ‘Other’ thing; can earn favor with God, the God of the Bible. Knowing ‘about’ God, Knowing His Truth and living the life He has desired of us… is born out of “His Ability” in us and ‘not’ our own. It is simply our response to His Grace working… in and through… us.
*** (Luke 17:10) So likewise you, when you shall have done all the things commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants, for we have done = what we ought to do.
*** (Romans 12:1-2) I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, = which is your reasonable service.
(Rom 12:2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
*** (Acts 5:29) And Peter and the apostles answered and said, = We ought to obey God = rather than men.
The Gateway to the soul… is through the mind. Yet “Obedience”… is from the heart and the mind, not just the mind. That is the difference between… “Conviction” and “Preference”. Preference is what you do when “People are Seeing”. Conviction is what you do when “God is Seeing!” That is the ‘difference’ in what is called the “World View”. Either man is in control and you of your own life… or… God is in control and you are obedient to Him? No matter what the circumstances or results; your “Heart” is the real issue… as your response to Him; “Is out of love or out of preference?”
*** (Matthew 21:28-29-30) But what do you think? A man had two sons; and he came to the first and said, Son, go work in my vineyard today.
(Matt 21:29) He answered and said, I will not. = But afterwards he repented and went.
(Matt 21:30) And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir; = and did not go.
(Mat 21:31) Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that the tax-collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
*** (1Samuel 15:22-23) And Samuel said, Does Jehovah delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices = as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? = Behold, to obey = is better than sacrifice! = To listen = is better than the fat of rams!
(1Sam 15:23) For rebellion = is as the sin of witchcraft, = and stubbornness is as iniquity and idol-worship. Because you have rejected the Word of Jehovah, = He has also rejected you from being king!

"NO”… Real Christian... ‘Fears’, = The Truth = of the Word of God... “Unless”… ‘they are’… Out of … “Obedience & Fellowship” …with ‘GOD’… and with “His Word”...!"
(Micah 2:7) House of Jacob, it is said, The Spirit of Jehovah is limited, if these are His doings. = Do not = My Words = do good to him = who walks uprightly?
